All Things Copland

The past two weekends have been filled with "All Things Copland". A good friend who works at the Tanglewood music festival in the beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts, took me to their Copland Library. I asked the head librarian if there was anything a Copland scholar and fan should see; he showed me a number of scores that were bequeathed from the estate of Aaron Copland, as well as a library check out card. Note who the first person was to check out the score!

I also made my first visit to Copland's Hudson Valley home where he lived the last thirty years of his life; his name is still on the mailbox.

I excitedly walked up the driveway and saw his home through the trees.

There was a wonderful performance presented by Music from Copland House in the light filled music room seen behind me.
