Former teacher plays my version of "QUIET CITY"

How do you honor a 25 year musical relationship? Well, here is something that I'm excited about! I studied classical saxophone at Ithaca College with Steve Mauk when I was working on my undergraduate college degree. He discovered all sorts of "holes" in my technique and approach to playing the instrument that he adeptly patched. His musicianship and clearly organized approach to teaching have served as a model for my entire career, both as a performer and educator. I couldn't be more pleased that he will be performing my version of Aaron Copland's "Quiet City" on his faculty recital this coming Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 4pm in Ithaca, New York at Ithaca College's Hockett Family Recital Hall.
